Your data (as an employee)

How staff download their own data and request deletion from the employee app — self-service export, the erasure request, and what’s kept by law.

Everyone on the team has their own UK GDPR controls in the employee app. Open your Profile and find the Your data card. Downloading your data is instant and self-service; deleting it is a request to your employer, who holds the records and is bound by law to keep some of them.

Download my data

  1. 1

    Open Your data

On your Profile, tap the Your data card.

  2. 2

    Tap Download my data

You get an instant JSON file — a copy of your profile, hours, pay and leave — saved as wagepilot-my-data-<date>.json. No approval needed; it’s your own record.

Request account deletion

  1. 1

    Tap Request account deletion

The second row asks your employer to erase your personal data. It opens a dialog.

  2. 2

    Read the retention notice

The dialog lists the pay records that must be kept by law for a period even after you leave — these are retained without your contact details.

  3. 3

Add an optional note and send

You can add a note for your employer, then tap Send request. Your employer is notified and actions it from their side.

Common questions

How do I get a copy of my own data?
In the employee app, open your Profile and tap Download my data on the Your data card. You get an instant JSON file with your profile, hours, pay and leave — no approval needed, because it’s your own record.
Can I delete my account myself?
You send a deletion request to your employer, who is the data controller, using Request account deletion on your Profile. They action it and erase your personal identifiers. Some pay and working-time records must be kept by law for a period after you leave, and are retained without your contact details.
