Today & cost
A single screen for today's shape: who is scheduled, who is in, projected labour cost, cost by site and person, and labour as a percentage of sales.
Today & cost zooms in on a single day. Where the live board is the real-time tower, this is the day's shape at a glance: who is scheduled, who has clocked in, spend so far, where the day is heading, and how it breaks down by site and by person.
The four cost cards
- Spent today
- Today’s cost so far, ticking up as people work, with how many are on shift now (breaks excluded).
- Today projected
- Spend so far plus the rest of today’s rota.
- Week so far
- Pay week to date, open shifts included.
- Week projected
- The estimated week total if the rota runs as planned.

Type today’s takings and see labour as a percentage of sales: the single number that tells you whether the day is staffed right.

Enter takings per site
Type each site’s sales so far into its box. It saves when you tab or tap away, and is shared with the rota’s wage-% row.

Read the percentage
Each site shows labour as a percentage of its sales, colour-coded by how healthy it is, with an overall labour percentage at the top.
Labour % on the Dashboard
The Labour as % of sales card on the Dashboard sets wages against the takings you have entered. Most venues enter takings the morning after, so it only counts days that have takings: today is left out until its figure goes in, and so is any day nobody entered. The card names any past day it left out, with a link that opens Enter or correct takings on that day.

- One day’s labour %.
- This week so far
- From the first day of your week up to yesterday. On the first day of the week it shows last week instead.
- This pay period / Last pay period
- Follows your pay period in Settings, for example the 27th to the 26th for a monthly payroll ending on day 26.
- Last 7 / 30 days, Custom dates
- Rolling windows ending yesterday, or any range up to a year.
Under the figure, a small bar for each day (or each week, for longer periods) shows how the % moved; a dash means no takings that day. The card remembers the period you last chose. With more than one site, each site’s wages are only set against that site’s own takings, and a site that never enters takings is left out.
Cost by site and by person
- Cost by site today: a donut of where today’s spend is landing, with each site’s share and total in the middle.
- By person today: everyone who has worked today, ranked by what they’ve earned so far, as a simple bar list.
