Clocking in

Locations & geofences

Add a site, drop a map pin, set the geofence radius staff must be inside to clock in, and set per-site coverage targets and labour budgets.

A location is one of your sites — a café, a venue, a let. Each one carries the map pin and geofence radius that the geofenced clock-in checks against, its own QR sign-in code, and optionally a coverage target and labour budget that feed the rota and cost views.

Adding a site

  1. 1

    Search the address

Type the site address; the map jumps to it.

  2. 2

    Fine-tune the pin

Drag the pin to the exact door — clock-in is measured from here.

  3. 3

    Set the radius

Widen or tighten the circle. A new site starts at 100m; 75–150m suits most venues, wider for big or weak-signal sites.

A configured location: address, geofence radius, coverage target and daily labour budget — all set once and inherited by every clock-in at that site.

Coverage & budget

A site can also hold a coverage target (how many people you want on at given times) and a labour budget. Both are set on the Pro plan: the rota builder then uses coverage to show under- and over-staffing, and the budget to show projected cost against the line. On Free and Core the rota still shows what the week and each day are estimated to cost, which is never withheld. See Rota builder and Today & cost.
