Getting started
Finding your way around
A tour of the manager cockpit: the sidebar and its sections, live count badges, search with ⌘K, notifications, the help button, switching between businesses and signing out.
The owner app is a cockpit: a left sidebar of destinations, a search box, and a scrolling work area. On a phone the sidebar becomes a slide-out drawer behind the ☰ menu button. Everything below is the same on both.
The sidebar
The sidebar is grouped into three sections. Items only appear if the matching feature module is switched on, so your menu is only ever as busy as your business is.
- Workspace (top group)
- Your day-to-day: Dashboard, Live board, Today & cost, Rota, Requests, People, Locations, Timesheets, Holiday, Tips, Messages and Reports.
- Config
- Set-up and rules: Pay & overtime, Clock-in rules, Branding, Payroll export, Kiosk mode and Settings.
- Account
- Billing and Support.
Count badges
Some sidebar items carry a small live-count pill — pending approvals, unread messages, headcount, leave to review and so on. On a phone, if anything needs your attention a dot appears on the ☰ menu button so you know to open the drawer.
Search and the command palette
- 1
Open it
Press the Search box at the top of the sidebar, the search icon on mobile, or the keyboard shortcut ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) from anywhere in the app.
- 2
Jump anywhere
Type to jump to any page or find a person, then press Enter. It is the fastest way to move around once you know the app.
The top-right controls
- Help (?)
- Opens this help centre, deep-linked to the page you are on where one exists.
- Notifications (bell)
- Opens your notifications; a dot on the bell means unread items are waiting.
Switching business and signing out
At the bottom of the sidebar sits your name and business. If you belong to more than one organisation, a switcher appears there to hop between them without signing out. The sign-out icon next to your name ends your session and returns you to the login screen.
