Rotas & live floor

Live board

The owner's control-tower: who is clocked in across every site right now, what each person is earning, overtime as it happens, late and no-show alerts, and your live labour-cost burn rate.

Open in WagePilot Available where the Live board module is enabled

The live board is the owner’s control tower. It shows, in real time, who is clocked in across all your sites, what each person is earning this minute, and a running £/hr burn rate for the whole floor. It is the answer to "what is happening right now, and what is it costing me?".

The live cost hero

Live labour cost now
The summed £/hr of everyone currently on the clock — the cost of your floor this minute. People on an unpaid break are excluded, so it reflects what you’re actually paying for.
On shift
How many people are clocked in right now.
Spent today so far
What today’s worked shifts have cost up to this second, ticking live.

Who’s in

Under the hero, a live list of everyone the board knows about right now, with a header tally of on shift / on break / late. Tap any row to open that person’s profile. A coloured dot on the left tells you their state at a glance.

On shift (green, pulsing)
Clocked in and working. Shows live earnings this session and a running stopwatch of time on shift.
On break (amber)
On an unpaid break — earnings are paused, so the burn rate doesn’t count them.
Late (red)
Scheduled and more than five minutes past their start with no clock-in, shown as “late” with how long.
OT badge
An “OT ×n” tag appears the moment someone crosses a daily or weekly overtime threshold, and their live earnings switch to the overtime rate.

Late and no-show alerts

The board is also the detector for missed shifts. Someone scheduled but not clocked in shows as late after five minutes. Once a shift’s grace window elapses with still no clock-in, you get a single no-show notification (also pushed to your phone) — raised once per shift, never repeated on refresh.

Today and this week

Worked-and-live spend this pay week so far, against an estimated week total if the rota runs as planned.

Common questions

Is the “live earnings” figure the same as take-home pay?
No, it is estimated gross, before tax and deductions. WagePilot shows what a shift is earning and what your floor is costing in real time; the exact net figure is calculated by your payroll software from the approved hours you export.
Why did someone’s rate jump mid-shift?
They crossed an overtime threshold — daily or weekly. The board shows an “OT ×n” badge and the burn rate steps up to the overtime multiplier automatically, so the live cost reflects what you’re really paying from that minute on.
